Today, many employers are looking for similar skills and qualities in their future employees. If these potential employees can demonstrate that they have these attributes, then they may well be on their way to a long and rewarding career. So, what makes a person hired to get a job? Of course, on is hired when one's particular skills match those required by their chosen employer. However, here are three top qualities that employers look for in job candidates that impress them the most.

Honestly speaking, having good communication skills is definitely important. It is one of the core aspects that employers want to see in their workers. Employers want their future employees to be able to interact with other people, from colleagues to customers, clients and suppliers. Good communication skills will help future employees relate their ideas to others and avoid as little misunderstanding as possible. Hence, candidates with good communication skills have an advantage over their competitors in the job market, as they are the ones who can express their views in a coherent manner.

Secondly, employers want employees who are enthusiastic, motivated and take initiative in their jobs. These three qualities are inseparable, as I believe if one were enthusiastic, one would certainly be motivated and would be full of initiatives. Employees with excellent academic qualifications are of little use if they do not posses these essential qualities. Employers look for people with a record of achieving their personal goals. They must have the ability to complete tasks and objectives, even when the goings gets tough. An enthusiastic, motivated employee would actually try new things and explore challenges from different perspectives. Employers look for people who are willing to take the initiative to perform their job. If and employer feels that he will be constantly telling the candidate to do something, he will likely not hire him.

Lastly, future employees must possess good interpersonal as well as communication skills. Today, employers are looking for employees who are open-minded, people who are willing to work in a team, who are optimistic and can accept constructive feedback. Employers want future employees to be approachable, friendly and must be able to get along with a variety of different types of personalities. No matter how good one is in his job, if one has poor interpersonal skills, one will not be an asset in the company.

Today, there are more prospective employees available and fewer jobs available. Having the above qualities will enhance the future employees' opportunities to gain employment.
